Abstract

Abstract. The availability of medicines in the household is something that the society should be aware of these days. The effectiveness and stability of medicines is greatly influenced by how they are stored. Improper storage of medicines can cause their quality to decrease so that they cannot provide a proper effect. Household medicines are not always used up or are even stored until they expire. Therefore, apart from storing medicines, it is also necessary to pay attention to the method of disposal or destruction of medicines to avoid medicine waste which certain parties can misuse. Pretest and post-test were carried out during counseling. There was an increase in the knowledge level in 31 participants out of a total of 35 participants.
